The Clean Power Plan was an EPA act designed to combat climate change through carbon pollution control, released under President Obama in 2015.

In anticipation of the August 2015 unveiling, the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) wanted to create an infographic telling the story of the Clean Power Plan. I was brought on to design the infographic, which began by working with copywriters to come up with a compelling story and culminated in visual execution. The infographic begins with the threats posed by climate change, from human health to national security, and moves into an explanation of the Clean Power Plan. I used a toolkit of icons, typography and layout to communicate simply how the plan works and how it benefits the public. The infographic was circulated widely through the NRDC website as well as their social media in 2015.
